The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always looking after us and making sure we were happy throughout our stay. The food was fantastic, incredibly varied and themed every single night. The entertainment also exceeded our expectations- from fire shows, to masaai dances, dinner time was always guaranteed to be a good time. We loved every night for each unique show presented and even became friends with some of the locals! We got to walk along the coastline on the beachside, and even though there are plenty of resorts nearby we thought Gold’s beach was the best one by far! Quieter, clearer water and no jellyfish which we found in other stretches of beach affected most by tides. Throughout our stay we also got to meet Nicole, manager of guests relations who was lovely and offered us a free sunset cruise on the resort boat which was really amazing. It felt we were so welcomed and appreciated as guests! The hotel also had special rooms that allowed us to shower and change clothes after our check out allowing us to enjoy one last day of beach and facilities in the most comfortable way possible. Overall it really felt like we experienced one week of paradise.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are huge and it feels like home. Beautifully located on the beach and what makes this hotel so special is the presence of the manager and the amazing staff! We have rarely felt as comfortable as we do here and we have never experienced such an attentive and present manager and we have stayed in many luxury hotels. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and eager. Our flight was postponed to very late, the Manager Tuan Thasleem Juhara knew that we had to do our checkout the next day and offered us a free late checkout including dinner! We were able to stay in our room until late, enjoy our last day to the fullest at the beach, watch the last sunset, have a shower in our room and enjoyed our last dinner with no rush and then checed out. Simply fantastic and so generous! From the staff at the reception, in the restaurant, bars, gardeners, room cleaners to the manager they are all great and go the extramile! Thank you all for doing such a great job and making us fall in love with you! You really miss these people when you leave this place! Hakuna Matata!

Unlike other hotel beaches visited during our trip, including those in Nungwi, here we could enjoy swimming at any time, regardless of the tide’s whims, which was a true delight. The dining experience at Gold Zanzibar was unparalleled, with each dinner made even more special by planned nightly live music and performances that added an unforgettable ambiance. However, it was the extraordinary staff that truly set this experience apart. Among them, Baraza stood out for his extreme politeness, helpfulness, and attentiveness, embodying the exceptional level of service that makes Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa not just a hotel, but a memorable experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for the ultimate beach getaway in Zanzibar.

I still cannot believe how well we were treated, I have never ever been to a hotel with such amazing management and staff. 10* would be less to rate, they deserve 100* I have recommended this place to all my family and friends already, I don’t think any other hotel will meet the expectations from this hotel. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the room is spacious with a large balcony. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The Gold restaurant is exceptional and we enjoyed many meals and drinks here! Special mention to Chef Warren and the lovely wait staff who always made us feel welcome. Try the catch of the day if you visit - delicious! Would like to mention the lovely Nicole (customer relationship manager) she is an absolute gem and ensured any issues were resolved quickly and we left feeling we had the 5 star experience we were hoping for. We were lucky enough to experience the lobster dinner on the beach front which was wonderful! The spa is exceptional! Highly recommended spending some time here during your stay.
